He is a silent, brooding character, and is also a crackshot with his pistols. His claw and supernatural powers are results of experiments done by Professor Hojo back when Vincent was a Turk. Vincent was in love with Lucretia during his employ with the Turks; Lucretia was Prof. Hojo's assistant. As an experiment to create a life form with the power of Jenova, Lucretia was impregnated by Hojo. Hojo then experimented with Vincent, which is why Vincent can transform into several different beasts. In the game, you learn that Vincent is still in love with Lucretia, and that he'll lie to her to save her from evil truths. You find Vincent after the Cosmo Canyon/Cave of the Gi event, when you go to the ShinRa mansion's basement in Nibelheim. Talk to him until all he says is "Let me sleep", and he'll ask to join you before you leave the mansion. Vincent's limit breaks are some of the coolest in the game. His level one limit break, the Galian Beast, is a fire based monster. His level two limit break, the Death Gigas, is a lightning based monster. Vincent's level three limit break, the Hell Masker, is strong on defense but weak on offense. His level four limit break is Chaos - a large winged demon, and is by far the most powerful and neatest looking of them all. (Don't know how to get the Chaos item? E-mail us and we'll help you out!) Kitiara's Comments: First off, let it be clear that I love vampires. Angel (David Boreanaz) and Spike (James Marsters) from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", as well as Lestat (both in the books and played by Tom Cruise) are all the epitomy of the "beautiful vampire" to me. Vincent, in his dark, brooding ways, added to his sleeping in a coffin, and his red eyes and... well... let's just say he's very vampiric to me. His character is as well developed as can be, considering he's a secret character in FF7. When Vincent isn't silent, he's either very thoughtful and calculating, or very impassioned. I can't help but cheer when he shouts to Sephiroth in the final dungeon, "Now it's your turn to sleep between the ages!" My half-star deduction comes because of the little bitty holes in Vincent's character. I know that's the fault of the Squaresoft translation, but still. *sniff* No one can be perfect.
